KATRINA JONES
Vice President- Corporate Communications, Hilton Worldwide- Europe
Katrina Jones heads up the communications team for Hilton Worldwide in Europe and is responsible for internal and external communications for this region which includes more than 200 hotels.
Jones joined the Hilton team in May 2006 as Director of Communications for Hilton in the United Kingdom and Ireland and was appointed Vice President of Corporate Communications for Europe in June 2009. She oversees PR strategy for the region, event planning and implementation of a PR program for the company's newly branded hotels entering the international marketplace, including: Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Collection.
Jones has led major hotel openings including Hilton London Tower Bridge, Hilton Manchester Deansgate, Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge, Hilton Garden Inn Luton North and The Bentley Waldorf Astoria Collection. She is responsible for management and maintenance of a strong national and regional media liaison program–both trade and consumer - and across lifestyle, travel and business sectors.
Jones manages a team focused on enhancing Hilton's European PR network, extending the company's public affairs program into Europe, profiling Hilton Worldwide's senior team and supporting a string of opening events for the portfolio of brands across Europe.
Prior to joining Hilton, Jones headed up the London office of Seal Communications managing public relations for clients such as Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Western Australia and The Pioneer Pub Company.
She started her PR career with Michels Warren in Australia where she worked for eight years before moving to London to open the agency's first European branch in 1998. Clients at Michels Warren included the Sugar Industry, Travelmood, Tourism New South Wales, United Biscuits and Hilton.
